Ever walked into an interiors store and spotted the sofa of your dreams, only to be told you can’t get it the size, colour or fabric you want? Or it simply had a price tag that made your eyes water? Well, not any more. 

After rounding off a successful first year selling hundreds of mattresses and beds to homes across the UAE, we have been able to respond to overwhelming customer demand to launch a stylish line of sofas, ready to be personalised using our super-clever, online ‘Design Your Own’ tool.

Our founder and owner, Simon Moore, explains, “Due to the success of our ‘Design Your Own’ beds and customers wanting more choice in fabric and colour than they might see in a traditional store, we decided to extend the ‘Design Your Own’ collection to include sofas. This gives our customers the choice and flexibility they are looking for, combined with the convenience of shopping from home whenever they choose and at a time that suits their busy lifestyles.” 

We worked closely with our in-house design team to create six styles to appeal to a variety of personal tastes, from contemporary modern to more classic and traditional. “Our aim is to give customers flexibility and choice so that they can create their dream sofa exactly as they imagined it, without having to compromise on the size, colour or fabric.” Simon adds.

The Verney, pictured in the main image of this blog in a sumptuous teal velvet, oozes laid-back luxury and comfort with its deep base seating and low-slung back cushion. Prices start at Dhs2499.

The Pardoux [pictured above] has a more cubic, masculine feel and looks spot-on-trend in tan leather. The single seater starts from just Dhs1499 but can be customised in genuine Italian leather from only Dhs2499 for a single seater.

The Breton [pictured above] is expected to be an immediate best-seller, combining classic Scandinavian style with a 1950’s retro twist. This is available from just Dhs1499.

The Laussets [pictured above] takes inspiration from the British, 16^th century Chesterfield sofa - a design classic still coveted in homes across the world today. Famed for its distinctive, deep buttoned, quilted leather upholstery and low seat base, the Chesterfield style adds instant glamour and status to any room. The Laussets is helmii’s very own, modern-day version, retaining all the original Chesterfield features with some seriously cool customising options. The Parvin [pictured above] is our clean-lined, contemporary pick. This elegant sofa whispers sophistication with a contemporary edge and is tipped to be most popular in the lightest shade of linen blue.
